CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Administrator — Certification tips

This has been my journey.

TL; DR

This is a traditional tool-specific / vendor-specific certification, it does take things to the letter when it comes to what it’s here to do.

It’s meant to get analysts ready to use the CrowdStrike Falcon Platform. At a basic level.

It’s not going to get into the details of how to respond / use detections / Incidents or how to consume and get the best out of the integrate threat intelligence reports in Falcon.

The “traditional tool-specific” kind of certification comment that I make is a nod to it’s reliance at times at asking for specific tool / UI / UX. In my tech career I’ve learnt I dont’ quite enjoy these tests — kudos to Cisco’s certs for this… 😨 If you ever had to take any “CCNP” level exams, you know this…

My 2 cents is: focus on the Dashboards section in the study exam. These can be very tough to remember if you’re starting with the platform.

For everything else, make sure you got it covered, but it’s harder to remember UX / UI queues than general concepts.

Now onto my notes…

Certification…
